Jeff was one of my father's best friends, and I always considered him to be one of my uncles. He treated me like I was family. Every time I saw him, he asked how I was, how I was doing in school, and what activities I was up to. He was genuinely interested in my life. He showed up for me on many occasions; he came to my baptism, my high school graduation party, and several important events in between. It is rare to find somebody that is not your family to care so much about you. I will continue to miss him every day, but I am forever grateful that I got to know him as well as I did.
